The Iowa Junior Angus Association Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA), especially its Iowa affiliate, who are enrolled or planning to enroll in any field at a college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to 1) residents of Iowa who have been a member of the Iowa Junior Angus Association; and 2) residents of any state who have been a member of the NJAA. -Applicants must be current junior, regular, or life members of the American Angus Association; be either high school seniors or already enrolled in college; be working or planning to work full time on an undergraduate degree in any field; have a GPA of 2.0 or higher, and be younger than 25 years of age.
  • Selection is based on those essays; academic achievement; Angus competitive activities and involvement; Angus leadership activities; FFA, 4H, and other agricultural organization involvement; other high school or collegiate organization, community, civic, and church activities; an essay on their leadership potential, career goals, and ambitions for the future, especially how they will promote, advocate, and support the Angus breed and beef cattle industry in their plans; and general effect of the application.
