John C. Youngblood Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Virginia who have been involved in athletics and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Virginia where the athletic director is a member of the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

Students must be nominated by their athletic director.

Nominees must have made a significant contribution to athletics (have received at least 1 varsity monogram during their high school career and have participated in a varsity athletic program for at least 2 years), be planning to continue on to higher education at a school in any state, will not receive an athletic scholarship, and be able to demonstrate financial need.
