Requirements
  • This program is open to Tennessee residents between 16 and 25 years of age who are the children of workers who died or suffered a serious or catastrophic injury or a permanent disability as a result of an employment-related accident.
  • The parent or deceased parent's family must be entitled to receive benefits under the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Act.
  • The parent's death or injury must have resulted in a substantial decline in the family's income that is likely to impede the student's pursuit of his or her educational objectives.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll fulltime at a college, university, or vocational/technical school in any state.
