The K.M. Hatano Scholarship is for students from the islands of Maui, Lanai, and Molokai, Hawaii, who have excelled academically and have shown leadership and community involvement. The K.M. Hatano Scholarship was created in 1987 through the generosity of Mr. Yasuji Hatano, President of Kokusai Motorcars Company of Japan. Special consideration is given to those studying for a degree in business management or the visitor industry.
