Little People of America Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to members of the Little People of America (LPA), to their families, and to others.

Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors or students attending college or vocational school who have a tie to LPA (membership is limited to people who are shorter than 4 feet 10 inches because of a medical condition known as dwarfism).

Awards are presented in the following order of preference: 1) members of LPA who have a medically diagnosed form of dwarfism; 2) immediate family members of dwarfs who are also paid members of LPA, and 3) people with dwarfism who are not members of LPA. Along with their application, they must submit a 500word personal statement that explains their reasons for applying for a scholarship, their plans for the future, how they intend to be of service to LPA after graduation, and any other relevant information about themselves, their family, their background, and their educational achievements.

Financial need is also considered in the selection process.
