The Marshall-Motley Scholarship is available to residents in the southern part of the U.S. who plan to seek a law degree. Recipients are expected to participate in the program for 13 years (3 years as a full-time law student, 2 years in a post-law school fellowship, and 8 years practicing civil rights law in the pursuit of racial justice in the southern U.S.)

  • Seeking a law degree fulltime
  • Planning to pursue a career in Civil rights and racial justice in a Southern State
