Michigan Horse Council Member Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Michigan Horse Council (MHC) and their children who are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to members of the MHC who are currently enrolled full or part-time at a college or university in any state.

Children of members who are 18 years of age or younger are eligible to apply if they are completing high school and have been accepted at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must submit a 250word statement explaining their involvement in the horse industry and their reasons for pursuing their chosen field.

Selection is based on academic achievement, duration, and extent of involvement with equines and in equine organizations, volunteer activities, the potential for success in a chosen field of study, the potential for contribution to the horse industry, and financial need.
