Mid-America Athletic Trainers' Association Athletic Training Student Leadership Council Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) in its District 5 who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Requirements

This program is open to members of NATA and the Mid-America Athletic Trainers' Association (MAATA) which serves as the organization for District 5 (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Dakota).

Applicants must be enrolled in a CAATEaccredited program in athletic training at the professional entry-level (junior, senior, or master's degree) or post-professional level (master's, doctoral, or professional).

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and at least 1 year remaining in their program.

An athletic trainer who is a current member of NATA and MAATA must sponsor them.

Selection is based on academic achievement, clinical skill and performance, professional and athletic training service, community and external service, character, and future promise as a professional.
