Nashville Post Society of American Military Engineers Scholarship provides financial assistance to students with connections to the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Nashville Post who are interested in majoring in engineering or related fields at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to 1) children and grandchildren of active or deceased members of the Nashville Post; 2) student post members; 3) the children and grandchildren of employees of a current sustaining member firm; 4) employees of current sustaining member firms; or 5) children and grandchildren of employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District.
  • Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or currentlyenrolled undergraduate or graduate students.
  • They must be working on or planning to work on a degree in architecture, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related field, and they must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Selection is based on SAT/ACT test scores (for graduating high school seniors), academic record, recommendations, character, and leadership qualities.
  • Preference is given to students with military aspirations (as exemplified by enrollment in an officer training program or previous military service).
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
