The Phelps County High Demand Jobs Scholarship is offered to graduates, graduating seniors, or GED recipients who are seeking a professional certification or undergraduate degree. Recipients will be required to sign an agreement with the intent to return to Phelps County following graduation for work. Applicants who reside in or attend high school in Phelps County, Nebraska may be given special consideration.

  • Graduate, graduating high school senior, or GED recipient

  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor’s degree
  • Proven leadership through community service Preference may be given to Phelps County residents or students who are graduating from or have graduated from a Phelps County High School and to students planning to return, live and work in Phelps County in one of the following 'high demand' skilled trade areas: manufacturing/production trades, agriculturerelated trades, construction and maintenance trades, and medical fields. Preference will also be given to students who select a technical or trade program of study (consisting of 2 years or less) as opposed to a bachelor’s degree program.
