Poudre Valley REA Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Colorado whose families obtain electricity from the Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association (REA) and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in the service area of the Poudre Valley REA (Boulder, Larimer, and Weld counties in Colorado) and planning to enroll at an accredited college, university, vocational school, or community college in any state.
  • Applicants must be members or children of members of the REA. Selection is based on 3 categories: academics (academic achievement in school); wellrounded (overall achievements in extracurricular activities, community service, and grades); and helping hand (overall achievements, grades, and financial need).
  • In addition, 1 scholarship, named the Luck of the Draw Scholarship, is awarded through a random drawing at the REA annual meeting.
