Sonoma County JACL Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Sonoma County (California) Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) and their children who plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to graduating high school seniors in Sonoma County, California who plan to attend a college, university, or vocational/technical school in any state.
  • Applicants or their parents must have been members of the Sonoma County JACL for at least 1 year.
  • Their statement should emphasize their Japanese ancestry and/or their connection with the Asian/Japanese American community and how it has affected or impacted who they are as well as their personal goals.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Financial needs may be considered if other criteria are equal.
