USBC Gift for Life Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to members of the United State Bowling Congress (USBC) who demonstrate financial hardship.

Requirements
  • This program is open to USBC members who are high school students (grades 9-12) with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial hardship, defined as residing in a household where the number of children, the income level of their parents, and possible extenuating circumstances make obtaining a college education financially unlikely.
  • They must submit 1) an essay explaining how their financial situation could hinder or stop them from achieving their educational goals, and 2) an essay of up to 500 words on a topic of their choice.
  • Other factors considered in the selection process include academic achievements, community service, scholastic honors, and extracurricular activities.
  • Applications from males and females are evaluated separately.
  • In honor of the heroes of September 11, 2001, 2 scholarships are reserved for an eligible son or daughter of fire/police/emergency rescue personnel.
