The Varsity Athletics Scholarship supports LGBTQ+ and allied students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington who participate in a varsity-level sport in college. Special consideration is given to visible LGBTQ+ role models on campus.

Requirements

Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington for a minimum of three months prior to the application deadline or lived within the state for at least one out of the five prior years

Undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, medical, or law student

Seeking a bachelor's, graduate, law, medical degree, or Ph.D.

LGBTQIA+

Proven leadership potential in the LGBTQ+ community or field of study and play varsity level sports

Lack of a broader LGBTQ+ community support system

Encountered additional barriers to education, including economic, racial, social, geographical, or being politically disenfranchised

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to visible LGBTQ+ role models on campus.
