From the Institution

Muhlenberg College's reputation as one of America's top liberal arts colleges is based on the quality of its challenging academic program and its outstanding faculty. Offering a wide array of majors and minors, modern learning environments and impact opportunities, Muhlenberg provides students with an educational experience that prepares them for success today and in the future. Our wide-ranging curriculum features 39 majors and 36 minors across the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences, as well as career-oriented programs in accounting, business, education, entrepreneurship, finance, public health and, of course, premedicine, prehealth and prelaw. Muhlenberg's exceptional curriculum is driven by professors known for their commitment as teachers and scholars. Our faculty-experts in their fields-love teaching, challenging students with bold ideas and bringing their scholarly expertise in today's most pressing matters to the classroom. With a 9:1 student-faculty ratio, students work side-by-side with faculty who care about their success on projects with real impact. The collaborative nature of Muhlenberg helps students achieve their goals in an environment that they love. Outside of class, students find countless opportunities for learning, enrichment and connection that expand the intellectual core of a Muhlenberg education. For a diverse student body of approximately 1,900 from across the country and the world, there is always something to do on campus. More than 118 student clubs and organizations, 20 intramural and club sports, 23 Division III sports teams and leadership opportunities aplenty, mean that students can always find something to match their interests and their goals. More than half of our students study abroad in one of the College's more than 140 study abroad options in over 50 countries around the globe. The Muhlenberg Career Center helps students and graduates benefit from the College's rewarding learning experience through internship, externships and networking programs. The Muhlenberg Action Plan (MAP) also guides students to explore their passion and find their post-graduate path beginning in their first year and continuing until graduation. Annually, more than 85 percent of graduates are working or continuing their education within a year of graduation. Typically between 2 and 5 percent of each graduating class enters medical school or law school, and another 20 percent going on to graduate school.
