Founded in 1937, Pepperdine University is an independent, Christian university committed to the highest standards of academic excellence and Christian values, where students are strengthened for lives of purpose, service, and leadership. The University is located on 830 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, California, approximately 35 miles west of Downtown Los Angeles. The University enrolls approximately 10,000 full-time and part-time students across its flagship liberal arts school, Seaver College, the Caruso School of Law, the Graziadio Business School, the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, and the School of Public Policy. With a full-time faculty of 400 professors and scholars, Pepperdine offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral studies in a wide range of disciplines and offers mid-career adults many hybrid and online programs.
