MCAN Hosts BigFuture Team
On April 27 and 28, the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN) partnered with the BigFuture Student Engagement team to offer professional development webinars for high school counselors and college advisors.
The event focused on the tools and resources provided by BigFuture to help students plan for college, pay for college, and explore careers. Attendees heard how BigFuture is evolving to better serve students and received a live demo of the personalized and free online dashboard. Additionally, they learned how students can become eligible for $500 and $40,000 scholarships by completing key steps in the college and career planning process.
“The presentation was a great opportunity to tell Michigan educators the BigFuture story: where we were, where we are now, and how we’re continuously evolving to better support students,” said Greg Rafal, director of BigFuture program implementation.
The Michigan College Access Network holds regular events, trainings, and seminars to inform change makers about the importance of college access and to empower them to create positive change.
