Requirements

Applicants for this program must 1) be U.S. citizens; 2) be between 17 and 26 years of age; 3) score at least 1000 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT; 4) have a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher, and 5) meet medical and other regulatory requirements.

Current college or university students may apply if their school considers them beginning freshmen with 4 academic years remaining for a bachelor's degree.

Scholarship winners must serve in the Army for 8 years, including 4 years of fulltime service and 4 years in the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR). They may elect to serve part-time in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard while pursuing a civilian career.
