The Arts and Sciences Award Program provides financial aid to hearing-impaired students who are participating in extracurricular activities in arts and sciences.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of the United States or Canada who have been diagnosed prior to their fourth birthday as having a moderate to profound bilateral hearing loss and who use spoken language as their primary form of communication.
  • They must be in grades 1 through 12 and enrolled in an art or science program as an extracurricular activity during the afterschool time, summer, or weekends.
  • Programs can be offered through museums, nature centers, art or music centers, zoological parks, space and science camps, dance and theater studios, martial arts studios, or any other program with a focus on the arts or sciences.
  • Recreational summer camps, sports camps or sports, and travel and study abroad programs that do not have an explicit arts or science focus are not eligible.
  • Membership in the Alexander Graham Bell Association is not required, but preference is given to members.
