Barbara J. Messenbaugh Strings Music Scholarship

About the Scholarship

The Barbara J. Messenbaugh Strings Music Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a master's degree in music education at the University of Oklahoma School of Music. Students who demonstrate financial need and declare a stringed instrument to be their primary or secondary instrument are eligible to apply. Special consideration is given to applicants who have declared their primary focus as a stringed instrument, applicants who have been Oklahoma residents for 10 or more years, and/or applicants who have already taught string education in Oklahoma.
