Birmingham Member Chapter AIST Scholarship provides financial assistance to families of members of the Birmingham Chapter of the Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) who are interested in studying engineering at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Alabama and Mississippi who are high school seniors or full-time undergraduates at an accredited college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must be children or spouses of AIST Birmingham Chapter members or participants in its Material Advantage program.
  • They must be studying or planning to study engineering and have a demonstrated interest in a career in the iron and steel industry.
  • If there are no applicants in engineering, the award may be given to an eligible student majoring in other fields related to iron and steel production.
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
