The Bluegrass and Buckeye HYFA Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) who are interested in attending college to work on a degree in a field related to agriculture.

Requirements
  • GPA 2.0 or higher.
  • High school seniors or students enrolled at a 2 or 4-year college, university, or technical institute.
  • NJHA member for at least 3 consecutive years.
  • Between 17 and 24 years of age.
  • Seeking an undergraduate degree in agriculture.
  • Financial Need.
  • Selection is based on the essay (40%), academics (20%), financial need (20%), an adviser letter of recommendation (10%), and a second letter (10%). A bonus of 10% is awarded to applicants from Kentucky or Ohio.
