Capital District Water Environment Association of South Carolina Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC) and their immediate families in its Capital District who are high school seniors or freshmen at a college in any state and interested in majoring in an environmental field.

Requirements
  • This program is open to WEASC members and their immediate families who live or work within the Capital District (Fairfield, Lexington, Newberry, or Richland counties).
  • Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or full or part-time first-year students at a college or university in any state.
  • They must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a credit certificate, diploma, or degree program with an environmental emphasis and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students who wish to have financial need considered in the selection process must also submit documentation that verifies eligibility for a federal Pell Grant or similar program.
