Cecilia Alvear Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate student members of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) who are interested in preparing for careers as a producer in broadcast journalism.

Requirements

This program is open to Hispanic American college juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are interested in preparing for a career in English- or Spanish-language broadcast journalism as a producer.

Applicants must be enrolled fulltime at a college or university in the United States or Puerto Rico.

They must be NAHJ members.

Selection is based on the commitment to the field of journalism, academic achievement, awareness of the Latino community, and financial need.
