Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors and undergraduate students preparing for a career in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or integrated manufacturing systems.

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Preference is given in the following order: 1) members or children or grandchildren of members of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME); 2) applicants who are residents of Iowa or Illinois and attending a college or university in those states; 3) students who are residents of Iowa or Illinois and attending college in any state; and 4) residents of other states who are attending a college or university in Iowa or Illinois.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.

U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or student visa is required.
