CNA Virginia Paulson Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduates nursing students in Colorado who are members of the Colorado Nurses Association (CNA) or Colorado Student Nurses Association (CSNA).

Requirements

This program is open to Colorado residents who have been accepted as a student in an approved nursing program in the state.

Applicants may be 1) secondyear students in an associate degree program; 2) junior or senior level B.S.N. undergraduate students; 3) R.N.s enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree program in a school of nursing; 4) R.N.s with a master's degree in nursing, currently practicing in Colorado and enrolled in a doctoral program; or 5) students in the second or third year of a Doctorate Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) program.

They must be current members of CNA or CSNA. Undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher and graduate students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Selection is based on professional philosophy and goals, dedication to the improvement of patient care in Colorado, demonstrated commitment to nursing, the potential for leadership, involvement in community and professional organizations, recommendations, GPA, and financial need.
