About the Scholarship

The Dare County Association of Fire Officers Scholarship, in memory of Douglas A. Remaley, recognizes graduating high school seniors who are seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree. Students who are active members or are children of an active or retired member of a Dare County, North Carolina fire department are encouraged to apply. Those who demonstrate high academic performance, community service, and financial need receive special consideration.
