The Dean Carlson Honorary Scholarship is open to FFA members who are high school seniors or current college students. Members pursuing a bachelor's degree at Iowa State University, either its College of Business or College of Agriculture, are encouraged to apply. Members of FFA chapters in Calhoun County, Iowa, receive first priority. Members of FFA chapters in counties bordering Calhoun County receive second priority.

Member of Future Farmers of America

Resident of the U.S.

Graduating high school senior planning to attend or student currently attending Iowa State University

Seeking a bachelor's degree in agriculture or business

Fulltime student

U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Aged 23 or younger First preference is given to members of FFA chapters in Calhoun County, Iowa. Second preference is given to members of FFA chapters in Buena Vista, Carroll, Greene, Pocahontas, Sac, or Webster counties.
