Requirements
  • This program is open to 1) residents of El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties in California who are entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year at a college or university in any state; and 2) residents of any state attending college in those states.
  • Applicants must be majoring in agronomy, botany, conservation, environmental concerns, floriculture, forestry, horticulture, landscape design, plant pathology, or other horticulturerelated fields.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Selection is based on that letter (30%), academic record (40%), a list of honors, extracurricular activities, work experience (15%), recommendations (5%), and financial need (10%).
