Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students, especially those from underrepresented groups, interested in preparing for a career with the Department of State's Foreign Service as an information management specialist.

Requirements

This program is open to U.S. citizens who are entering their junior year of undergraduate study or their first year of graduate study.

Applicants must be planning to complete work on a bachelor's or master's degree in information technology and have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

They must be preparing for a career in the Foreign Service as an information management specialist.

Applications are especially encouraged from underrepresented minorities, including (but not limited to) racial, ethnic, geographic, and gender minorities, as well as students with financial need.

Fellows must commit to a minimum of 5 years of service in an appointment as a Foreign Service information management specialist following graduation.
