Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students, especially those from underrepresented groups, interested in preparing for a career with the Department of State's Foreign Service as an information management specialist.

Requirements
  • This program is open to U.S. citizens who are entering their junior year of undergraduate study or their first year of graduate study.
  • Applicants must be planning to complete work on a bachelor's or master's degree in information technology and have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • They must be preparing for a career in the Foreign Service as an information management specialist.
  • Applications are especially encouraged from underrepresented minorities, including (but not limited to) racial, ethnic, geographic, and gender minorities, as well as students with financial need.
  • Fellows must commit to a minimum of 5 years of service in an appointment as a Foreign Service information management specialist following graduation.
