Free State Amateur Radio Club Scholarship provides funding to licensed radio amateurs in designated eastern states who are interested in attending college in any state on the undergraduate or graduate school level.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia who have an amateur radio license.
  • Applicants must be working fulltime on an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in a technical field at a college or university in the United States.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • They must submit essays on their motivation to become a ham and interests in the hobby; ham radio activities and accomplishments; ham radio contacts and operating modes; interests and hobbies outside of ham radio; ham radio club memberships; ham radio club participation (offices held, appointed positions); and any special issues that affect their application and that they would like the sponsor to take into consideration.
