The Harvey E. Najim Endowed Scholarship is open to students at any campus of the Alamo Colleges District. Students pursuing a certificate or degree in a wide range of subjects, along with those planning to transfer to a 4-year institution, are encouraged to apply. Students who graduated from the Independent School Districts (ISDs) of East Central, Edgewood, Harlandale, San Antonio, South San, Southside, Southwest, and Somerset receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Resident of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, or Wilson counties, Texas
  • Attending a school in the Alamo Colleges District (Northeast Lakeview, Northwest Vista, Palo Alto, San Antonio, St. Philip's)
  • Seeking a professional certification or associate degree or planning to transfer to a 4year institution full-time
  • Studying manufacturing technology, computer information systems, computer programming, computer science, information assurance/cybersecurity, information technology, network administrator, network and iCloud architecture, pre-nursing/biology, chemistry, nursing or allied health and related-field
  • U.S. citizen
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to graduates of high schools in the Independent School Districts (ISDs) of East Central, Edgewood, Harlandale, San Antonio, South San, Southside, Southwest, and Somerset in Texas.
