Hilmar Cheese Company Scholarship provides financial assistance for college in any state to high school seniors and current undergraduates who either have a connection to Hilmar Cheese Company or are residents of designated counties in California and Texas and majoring in agriculture.

Requirements
  • This program is open to 3 categories of students who are graduating high school seniors or current undergraduates: 1) children of Hilmar Cheese Company employees; 2) children of dairy farmers who ship milk to the company; and 3) residents of Merced or Stanislaus counties in California or Dallam or Hartley counties in Texas who are majoring or planning to major in agriculture.
  • Applicants must submit transcripts that include SAT or ACT scores; an essay describing their involvement in agriculture, extracurricular activities, work experience, and community service; an essay describing their future plans and ambitions; and an essay on how the dairy industry has influenced their lives and how they will impact the dairy industry in the future.
