John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Georgia who have a bleeding disorder or have lost a parent because of the disorder and are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of Georgia who 1) have hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, or other inherited bleeding disorder; or 2) are children whose parent died as a result of complications from a bleeding disorder.

Applicants or their deceased parents must be or have been clients of Hemophilia of Georgia.

They may be graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled at an accredited college, university, vocational/technical school, or professional degree program in any state.

Selection is based on academic record, financial need, and personal goals.

Recipients must provide at least 12 hours of volunteer service with Hemophilia of Georgia.
