Kids' Chance of Illinois Scholarship provides financial assistance to students interested in attending college in any state whose parent was killed or injured in a work-related accident in Illinois.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students between 18 and 25 years of age who are enrolled or planning to enroll full or part-time at an accredited college, university, or technical school in any state.
  • Applicants must have a parent who has been killed or seriously injured as a result of a workrelated accident that meets the criteria of the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act, although neither the student nor the parent is required to be legal residents of Illinois.
  • The death or injury of the parent must have resulted in demonstrated financial need.
