Lake Michigan Post Society of American Military Engineers Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors and college students from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin who are working on or planning to work on an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, or applied science at a school in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to graduating high school seniors, full-time undergraduates, and graduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited college or university in any state and work on a degree in engineering, architecture, or an environmental or applied science (e.g., geology, mathematics, physics, chemistry).

Applicants must be preparing for a career in construction, engineering, architecture, environmental science, or physical science associated with those career fields.

They must be a student member of the Lake Michigan Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) or a dependent of 1) a member of the Lake Michigan SAME Post; 2) an employee of a sustaining member company of the Lake Michigan SAME Post, or 3) a civilian or military employee of a Department of Defense activity in the Lake Michigan Post's geographical area of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
