Lawrence W. and Francis W. Cox Scholarship provides financial assistance to student members of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for undergraduate study in civil engineering.

Requirements
  • This program is open to ASCE members who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or first-year seniors enrolled in an ABET-accredited program of civil engineering.
  • Applicants must submit an essay (up to 500 words) in which they discuss why they chose to become a civil engineer, their specific ASCE student chapter involvement, and longterm goals and plans.
  • Selection is based on that essay their justification for the award, education plans, academic performance, potential for development, demonstrated leadership qualities, and financial need.
