The Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship is for students studying engineering or computer science who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic record, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, and unusual personal or family circumstances.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Graduating high school senior or college freshman or sophomore
  • Studying for a degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree as a fulltime student
  • U.S. citizen
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, community service, or work
  • Exhibit leadership qualities
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who selfidentify as members of groups traditionally underrepresented in STEM careers, including women; racial and ethnic minorities; individuals with a disability; individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+; those who are or will be first-generation college students; active-duty U.S. military, including Reserves and National Guard; U.S. military veterans, including Reserves and National Guard; and spouses of U.S. military active-duty, Reserve, National Guard, or veteran.
