Martin Christensen Memorial Lineworker Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of southern Colorado who are interested in attending a school in any state to prepare for a career as an electric lineworker.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of the service area of the San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative (SLVREC) within southern Colorado.
  • Membership in the cooperative is not required.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll full time at a school in any state that offers an accredited electric lineworker program.
  • First priority is given to graduating high school seniors, but all residents of the region are eligible.
  • Selection is based on that essay, GPA, SAT/ACT scores, school and community activities, and achievements.
