The New Leader Scholarship provides financial assistance to upper-division students who are attending a public university in the Bay Area of California. Applicants studying for a degree in social sciences, human services, public interest law, health-related fields, or public service who demonstrate strong academic standing are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA, with consideration given to GPA between 3.2 – 3.49
  • Currently attending California State University, East Bay Campus; San Francisco State University; San Jose State University; Sonoma State University; or University of California at Berkeley as an upper division sophomore or higher
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in social sciences, human services, public interest law, healthrelated fields, or public service as a full-time student
