NNOA Dr. Olivia J. Hooker STEM Scholarship provides financial assistance to sea services enlisted personnel who are interested in working on an undergraduate degree in a field of STEM at a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to enlisted members of the Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or Navy who are enrolled or planning to enroll at an MSI in any state and major in a field of STEM. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.
  • They are not required to enroll full time.
  • Selection is based on that essay, a resume of educational experience, transcripts, 2 letters of recommendation, and a 250word documentation of their community service activities.
