Oregon-Idaho Conference United Methodist Church Ethnic Minority Leadership Scholarship provides financial assistance to ethnic minority Methodists from Oregon and southern Idaho who are interested in attending a college or graduate school in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to members of ethnic minority groups (African American, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, or Hispanic) who have belonged to a congregation affiliated with the Oregon-Idaho Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) for at least 1 year.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll fulltime as an undergraduate or graduate student at a 2- or 4-year college or university in any state.
  • Selection is based primarily on demonstrated leadership excellence and/or the potential for leadership excellence in the UMC and in community projects or activities, but other factors, including financial need, are also considered.
