PENC Scholarship provides financial assistance to upper-division students from any state working on a degree in engineering at a campus of the University of North Carolina (UNC).

Requirements

This program is open to residents of any state entering their junior or senior year at a campus of the UNC system that has an ABET-accredited program in engineering.

Applicants must submit a 500word essay that discusses their interest in engineering, their major area of study and specialization, the occupation they propose to pursue after graduation, their financial need, their long-term goals, and how the scholarship could help them achieve those goals.

Preference is given to members of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).

U.S. citizenship is required.
