Requirements
  • This program is open to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students who are attending or planning to attend a college or university in southern California and working on a degree in food science, food technology, culinary arts, nutrition, or a related field.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • For high school seniors, the selection is based on the personal statement (40%), resume (20%), GPA (30%), and letters (10%).
  • For current undergraduate and graduate students, the selection is based on the personal statement (25%), resume (25%), GPA (25%), involvement in the sponsoring organization (15%), and letters (10%).
