Requirements
  • This competition is open to high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students who are between 13 and 25 years of age.
  • Applicants are not required to be U.S. citizens, but they must be attending school in the United States or its territories.
  • They must submit a poem of any length, in any style, on a topic that varies with each competition.
  • Each student may submit only 1 poem.
  • The recipient of the award is selected in a random drawing of all eligible entries.
