The Robert T. Kenney Scholarship is available to students who live in one of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the American Savings Foundation. Applicants are selected based on financial need, academic achievement, participation in community service, and a strong desire to achieve goals through education. Students attending or planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university, or a technical/vocational program are welcome to apply.

  • Minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Reside in one of the 64 towns served by the American Savings Foundation
  • High school senior, undergraduate student, on academic break, or not currently enrolled
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • U.S. citizen, current DACA status, or FAFSAeligible non-citizen
  • Participation in community service
  • Demonstrate financial need Children, Grandchildren, and other related family members of American Savings Foundation staff, board members, and scholarship committee members, are not eligible to apply for or receive a scholarship from the American Savings Foundation.
