Requirements
  • This program is open to members of the Seneca Nation who are interested in attending college to work on a degree in nursing.
  • Applicants must submit brief statements on 1) the professional, community, or cultural services and activities in which they have participated; 2) how this scholarship would help further their education; 3) their goals or plan for using their nursing experience to benefit the Seneca Nation and its people; and 4) the qualities about Ruth Goode's life, both personal and professional, they identify with the most.
  • In the selection process, the primary consideration is given to financial need, but involvement in community and cultural activities, personal assets, and desire to improve the quality of life for the Seneca people are also considered.
