SAI OC Alumnae Chapter Scholarship recognizes and rewards, with scholarships, students majoring in instrumental or vocal music at community colleges in southern California who present outstanding performances at a recital.

Requirements
  • This competition is open to students younger than 23 years of age working on an associate degree at community colleges in southern California.
  • Applicants must be majoring in instrumental or vocal music and planning to transfer to a 4year college or university.
  • They must present an outstanding performance up to 10 minutes in length at an annual recital.
  • Pianists and instrumentalists must perform 2 compositions in contrasting musical styles, forms, and tempi.
  • Vocalists must perform 3 songs or arias in different languages, styles, and tempi.
  • The application fee is $25.
