SLVREC Past Retired GM Ray Villyard and CEO John Villyard Scholarship provides financial assistance for college in any state to high school seniors in southern Colorado who obtain electricity from the San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative (SLVREC).

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in southern Colorado whose parents or guardians are SLVREC members.
  • Dependents of SLVREC board members and employees are not eligible.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll at a 2 or 4-year college, university, or vocational school in any state.
  • Selection is based on that essay, GPA, SAT/ACT scores, school and community activities, and achievements.
