The Student Academic Research Review (STARR) Community College Scholarship is available to undergraduate students at Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) community colleges. Students seeking an associate degree in space-related STEM fields are eligible to apply. Special consideration is given to students from members of underrepresented groups (women, Native Americans, African Americans, Latinos, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, and people with disabilities).

Requirements
  • Resident of Oregon
  • Attend Lane Community College, LinnBenton Community College, Portland Community College, or Southwestern Oregon Community College
  • Community college student, college freshman, or sophomore
  • Seeking an associate degree
  • Studying STEM related to the mission of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), including aerospacerelated engineering and mathematics, earth sciences, chemistry, biology, food science, and computer science
  • Full or parttime student
  • Planning to attend school in Oregon
  • U.S. citizen
  • Able to review a spacerelated research project being conducted by a faculty member Preference is given to members of underrepresented groups (women, Native Americans, African Americans, Latinos, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, and people with disabilities).
